Various program defaults can be set here. They are saved along with the graphics defaults by selecting "Save Defaults" from the Options menu.
 | Data file directory: the directory in which file selection boxes requesting data files start at. |
| Tcl extensions directory: the directory in which the Tcl extensions file selection box starts at. |
| Genie modules directory: the directory in which the Genie module file selection box starts at. |
| Mouse selection button: the mouse button to be used for annotating plots and altering graphical objects. NB Changes to this will not take effect until the program is restarted. |
| Enable tips: If selected a random tip is displayed each time the program is started (useful for new users). |
| User template directory: the directory in which user defined templates are saved and looked for. Template files will have the extension .gtp. |
| Working directory: The directory into which sets are saved by "File Write". |
