The contents of the current set can be written to a file in either free format ASCII, NEXUS binary, or Genie Binary formats.
When a Binary file format is chosen the following dialogue box appears.
If the "Create new file" check button is not checked then a new file is not created and the current set is instead appended to an existing file of the same format, which must of course exist. "Filename:" is the only required entry. "Comment:" and "Label" allows a comment and label to be added to the file.
When writing ASCII files a comment character and optional comment string are requested, along with the filename. The comment is added to the start of the file, and the comment character is added at the start of any non data lines that are written to the file. A 3 column ASCII file is created consisting of the x, y, and e arrays of the current set.
